Growing demand for cloud hosted print solutions
By closely monitoring the market, it soon became clear to James Kavanagh, Head of Managed Print Services, that the demand for a public, cloud-based printing solution was growing fast. When he was introduced to the KUARIO payment and device management platform through his partner Konica Minolta, he knew that this public cloud printing solution would be a great addition to MJ Floods' portfolio.
First installation at student accommodation block
James Kavanagh sees many opportunities for public printing via KUARIO at sites with multiple visitors such as supermarkets, libraries, colleges and more. He also believes that the solution can in fact, generate additional traffic and thus additional income. The first KUARIO installation by MJ Flood is, in his opinion, a perfect example of such an environment, a student accommodation with 240 students.
Previously, the reception at the student accommodation block had to deal with the constant requests from the residents as to whether they could print & copy on site. To reduce the workload at the reception desk and provide a user-friendly printing solution, the managers chose a Konica Minolta MFP with KUARIO solution. Students can now print, copy, scan & pay with the KUARIO app without the involvement of any staff.
In addition to the convenience of having a self-service MFP in the building, students pay less for the print services than they would have if they went elsewhere.
